DANCE IN OPEN SPACES I
ESTO QUE TÚ VES (20’)
Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain
Created by: JAVIER CUEVAS & PAULA QUINTANA
Performed by: Paula Quintana
Music: Jonás García Afonso, Superstereo
“Esto que tú ves” is a dance piece for street and unconventional spaces about the poetic and cinematographic gaze, about the work and its frame and about the loving encounter between attention and life. It is a journey that celebrates the human capacity to compose reality and to be moved by it. This proposal makes visible the fragile, fascinating and mysterious place where the gaze of the public and the gaze of the creator touch (and become one): the intermediate place from which the artistic act springs, like a fountain”.
PER SE (15’)
Leon, Spain
Created by: María Casares González
Performed by: María Casares González, David Tornadijo Arce, Ignacio Martínez Díez
Music: Ignacio Martínez Díez, “Laberinto del Teleno”, “Mirmedemelos”, “Nepalí”, Simon Jeff “Music for a Found Harmonium”, Tradicional “Muñeira de Balboa”, “Muñeira de Cabrera”, “El mandil de Carolina”.
“Per se is what it is. It is in itself, by itself, by its own accord. Three bodies occupying space. Three people walking and looking at each other and approaching and moving away and touching each other. Per Se is born out of the desire to do, to take up life and activate the body. However, it has a mathematical aspect, of meticulous planning, a consequence of the forced hours of immobility, desk, sofa and corridor”.
FORMAS (15’)
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain
Artistic Direction: Ángeles Padilla & Vanessa Medina
Created & Performed by: Alba Rodríguez, Ádex Alonso, Ángeles Perea, Sergio Pérez, Bárbara Brehcist
Music: Moderat “3 minutes of”, “Slow Math”, Brandt Breuer Frick “Bop”
“We go beyond the world of reality, merging into the poetic world of dreams, detached from our linear point of view. We travel through the most disparate planes of time, delving into the world of archetypes, from which a new work emerges”.
AM27 (20’)
Barcelona, Spain
Created by: Javier Guerrero
Performed by: Carlos Roncero, Joel Mesa, Julia Sanz, Paula Tato
Music: Yves Del Río
“An embodied utopia is a place that, although it should only exist in the imagination, exists. It exists with all its aberrations, displacements and incongruities. AM27 is an exploration of the great utopian projects of the 20th century set in an indeterminate space, built on the ruins of an extinct and vanished process. We think that nature belongs to us, without realising that it is we who belong to it. Through a fragmentary narrative in the form of a collage, we traverse these utopian places with the ephemeral intention of what we believe will disappear at any moment”.
